It is an honor and privilege to serve as the first Ambassador of Rwanda to Brazil and I am delighted to extend my warmest greetings to you.
Diplomatic relations between the Republic of Rwanda and the Federative Republic of Brazil were established in 1981. The two countries have since enjoyed cordial bilateral relations and have continued to foster mutually beneficial partnerships. The decision, in the last quarter of 2023, by both Governments to open Embassies in both Capitals (Brasilia and Kigali) is a bold statement of their intention to strengthening the bonds of friendship and cooperation between Rwanda and Brazil. Our embassy serves as a bridge between our nations, facilitating diplomatic dialogue, promoting cultural exchange, and providing consular services to our citizens residing or traveling in Brazil.
The Government of Republic of Rwanda is committed to advance the foreign policy that is hinged on two major pillars; the first one being to contribute to attainment of peace, security and stability in Rwanda, the regions, the continent and globally by establishing and maintaining good relations with all countries; and the second pillar being to contribute to wealth creation through development cooperation, investment and tourism promotion, transfer of knowledge and technology, equitable world trade and regional integration.
