Rwanda and Brazil Strengthen Cooperation in Education
The Minister of State for Education of Rwanda, Ms. Claudette Irere, visited Brazil from September 17 to 20, 2025, to participate in high-level engagements focused on education, school meals, and sustainable food systems.
In Fortaleza, the Minister took part in the 2nd Global Summit of the School Meals Coalition, where she shared Rwanda’s experience in implementing school meals programs and advancing sustainable food systems.
On this occasion, Rwanda and Brazil signed a Cooperation Agreement in Education, a milestone that will further strengthen the exchange of knowledge, joint research initiatives, and skills development between the two countries.
While in São Paulo, Minister Irere also held meetings with leading institutions that play a key role in industry, training, and research, including the Federation of Industries of the State of São Paulo (FIESP), the National Service for Industrial Training (SENAI), the University of São Paulo (USP), and the São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP).
This visit represents an important step towards consolidating Rwanda–Brazil relations in education, innovation, and capacity building.
